We started visiting the dentist on Friday and had cleaning and evaluations. We both needed crowns replaced and teeth cleaned, no surprise. We made follow-up appointments for Monday.
Monday and Tuesday we had the prep work done and set appointments for Friday to place the finished crowns. BUT, Tuesday evening Paul started experiencing double vision. We thought it was caused from some medications he'd taken so we increased his water intake. By Thursday evening there was no change so he called his health insurance. They instructed him to go immediately to the hospital and be checked out. That created some interesting and unexpected problems.
We only had the motor home to drive to the hospital. That's not a big problem unless you build the hospital no a hill and there's no place to park the motor home. Paul called and found a rental car so I could visit him in the hospital and make the trip to the dentist.
After much testing ( blood work, x-ray, CT scan and MRI) they decided his double vision was probably caused by neuropathy of the nerve to the muscle of the left eye. No one knows if it will self correct or when it might get better. Meanwhile, he can't drive!!! Good thing we're flying home when he's finished seeing his doctors. (That's a big order too: Primary care doctor, heart doctor, endocrinologist, sleep study doctor and neuro-opthamologist)
We're both glad this week is over. We missed our trip to Southern California to visit Chris and Sara and friends. Oh well, I guess there's always tomorrow, or next week or next year, lol.
