Paul's ongoing health story

Paul has had an eventful spring. After his bout of Congestive Heart Failure (April 2-10) we left Houston and we felt we were in the clear, not so. Houston Doctors forgot to send Paul home with all the prescriptions he needed. Late Thursday night (May 15, 2008) Paul started coughing and wheezing, unable to get enough air. We checked his O2 level and it was 82%, NOT GOOD!!! By 1:30 am he was unable to improve it with his C-PAP so we headed to the local hospital.

He made almost instant improvement and was home Saturday morning, Hooray!!!

This Thursday noon he saw the heart specialist from Anchorage and got all his meds checked and adjusted. Paul is feeling like his "old self" again and is back to working on the property and boat.

As a precautionary measure, June 17th, Paul will have an angiogram to make sure all the bypasses are working properly. That will be with his favorite doctor (Dr. Mayor) in Anchorage. Poor Me, I'll just have to go shopping while we're in Anchorage, lol.

We are planning to make a visit to the Anchorage Temple as long as we have to be in Anchorage, double bonus!

About that picture, it was one of the most vibrant sunsets this winter. Summer is nice here but we prefer the winter in Alaska, who'd have thought...
