Easter weekend till Saturday

Well, we spent the weekend with Lyn, Scott and the girls. Paul helped them build a 4X8 raised planter for vegies in the back yard. We went to church on Sunday and enjoyed the antics of the 3 girls with their baskets and toys. On Monday we begged the services of a fellow ELK member to tow our trailer to Lyn's mini storage to empty it and transport their boxes to their new house. We had a good visit and felt useful too.

Paul got a cold or allergy that really knocked him for a loop. He coughed and sneezed for 3 days. BUT he decided to drive anyway. Tuesday we did 623 miles from Houston to Van Horn, Texas. A killer day that I call "Gorilla Travel". BUT, there isn't that much to do in most of Texas so we just kept moving. Wednesday we made the 450 miles to Tucson after crossing the border at El Paso to buy Crystal Lite Pina colada at the Soriana Market. (it took us more than 4 hours including lunch in El Paso).

We met up with Craig and Barbara Stephens in Tucson and spent the next two days making minor repairs and laundry. We got to visit and enjoy our friends and even play hand-and-foot canasta before heading toward Las Vegas.

We are staying at Boulder City ELKS for a week while we take care of family business in Las Vegas. We're heading to Southern California, Northern California and Oregon on our way to ALASKA. REMEMBER, you're all invited to visit us in Homer, we do have a cabin and outhouse for your use!
