Paul has worked hard to clear out the dead trees and make a DRY driveway up to the cabin. It's a long way, over 200 feet. He's also made a parking spot in front of the door and alongside.
We stopped along the highway to take a picture of several people photographing the field of fireweed. As we drove away we saw a huge pile of dead pine trees with a single fireweed plant growing near the top, pretty unusual.
Then I just couldn't resist these two poppies in our yard.
This is a second marriage for both of us. We each had 7 children (5 girls and 2 boys) before we met and married. Now it's just the two of us traveling the world and living in Alaska. Oh, I didn't mean to slight the CAT, she thinks she's more important than anyone or anything else. Her name is Tucson and she's traveled about 80,000 miles, with us, in her short life.
